The Golden Girls are headed to the State Finals!
For the sixth year in a row, Regina Cross Country will be represented at the MHSAA State Finals. The Saddlelites finished in third place at the Anchor Bay Regional, qualifying for states, with four of our runners finishing in the top 20: Elizabeth Ambroggio, Natalie Lentine, Kennedy Roskopp, and Gabby Fernandez.
The State Finals are held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI on Saturday, November 4th. Good luck, Saddlelites!

Congratulations to our four Saddlelites who were top 25 finishers at the CHSL Bishop Championship on 10/11, and thus were named All-Catholic.
Elizabeth Ambroggio '25 - 7th place
Kennedy Roskopp '24 - 15th place
Gabby Fernandez '24 - 21st place
Lorelei Mahon '25 - 22nd place
The Saddlelites also received the 2023 Mark Carpenter Good Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by all the CHSL Cross Country Coaches. In 20+ years, Regina Cross Country has received this award all but one year.

The Regina Cross Country Team finished in second place in Division 2/3/4 at the Hanson's Invitational this past weekend, just behind Notre Dame Prep.
While all four divisions run in the same race, five of our Saddlelites finished in the top 20 for Division 2/3/4: Kennedy Roskopp (season best), Elizabeth Ambroggio (season best), Natalie Lentine, Lorelei Mahon (PR), and Gabby Fernandez.
The Golden Girls have the week off to prep for next week where they will compete in both the CHSL Championship (Oct. 11) and the Macomb County Championship (Oct. 14).

Regina Cross Country had a record-setting weekend at the annual Algonac Muskrat Classic Run. The team finished in first place, earning 36 points. Croswell-Lexington finished second at 43, and St. Clair in third at 76.
Five of our Saddlelites finished in the top 20, and five of our seven varsity runners earned either Season Best or Personal Best. See our runners' breakdown below:

Regina Cross Country placed fourth at the annual Michigan Catholic XC Invite in DeWitt on Saturday, August 26th. The Saddlelites placed fourth, with fellow CHSL competitor just edging them for third place.
The team was led by Junior Elizabeth Ambroggio and Senior Kennedy Roskopp, finishing the same time. Followed by Junior Natalie Lentine and Junior Lorelei Mahon finishing with her PR. Senior Gabby Fernandez, Junior Sofia Switalski and freshman Madelyn Yezback rounded up the Saddlelites team finish.
The Saddlelites will compete again on Thursday, August 21st, in the Rochester Invite.

Regina Cross Country started the 2023 fall season off strong at the Lamplighter Invite last Friday, August 18th. The Saddlelites finished in second, only trailing Livonia Stevenson by 16 points. The team was led by Senior Kennedy Roskopp and Junior Elizabeth Ambroggio, both finishing in the top 20. Followed by Junior Natalie Lentine and Senior Gabby Fernandez, and finishing with Junior Sofia Switalski and promising freshman Madelyn Yezback.
The Golden Girls were named one of the top five teams in Macomb County going into this season and are looking to return to the Michigan International Speedway in November.
