More About Sideline Cheer TryoutsStrength & Conditioning Camp
All incoming Regina freshmen and current Regina students are invited to participate in our Strength & Conditioning Camp this summer! The camp will start Monday, July 8th, and go every Monday and Wednesday until August 7th, from 11:00am-12:30pm. The camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of all training. Athletes will learn the proper mechanics for linear & lateral speed, plyometrics, decel, along with a number of different movement patterns in the weight room. This is a great opportunity for students to stay active during the summer; for incoming freshmen to get acclimated to the physical transition for high school sports; and of course, for our seniors to get in the best shape for Powderpuff! The cost of the camp is $80/student, which includes a camp t-shirt. The camp will be led by DLS's Strength & Conditioning Coach, Danny Motowski, a 2019 DLS alum and a two-time state champion in football. He continued his football career at Central Michigan Unive

Micah Carey, Regina graduate of 2019, will be inducted into the Detroit Catholic High School League Hall of Fame this June. Carey was a standout member of the Regina Track & Field Team during her four years. She was named to the CHSL Honor Team three times as well as Macomb County Honors. She was named the team’s MVP her senior year. Carey went on to continue her athletic career at the University of Detroit Mercy, where she excelled in relay events, but especially the long jump and triple jump. She not only had consistent top ten finishes in Horizon League meets, but she also holds the school record in the long jump, posting a 5.82 leap. Carey is currently in her fifth year at Youngstown State University in Ohio where she most recently broke that school’s long jump record - surpassing her previous 5.82 distance - at 6.13m. Carey is a Nursing Major and was a four-time member of the Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as

Congratulations to Holly Watson, class of 2023, whose lacrosse career has officially been cemented in the MHSAA Girls Lacrosse Record Book! Watson's goalie career is truly one for the record books seeing as she is listed on the site a total of 18 times, while having only played three full seasons due to COVID. Her listed appearances are for Most Saves in a Game, Most Saves in a Season, and Most Saves in a Career. For Most Saves in a Game, Watson is tied for 3rd all-time at a total of 27 saves. She has earned a spot on that list 14 times. For Most Saves in a Season, she is 6th all-time with a total of 194 saves, with three total appearances on the list for that category. And lastly, for Most Saves in a Career, Watson has recorded 545 saves which puts her at 2nd all-time. Again, this specific statistic is most impressive given that this was achieved through only 42 games. On behalf of the Regina Athletic Department and the Lacrosse Program, we are extremely proud o
